Delete Your Account

You can delete your Kori account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how.

How to Delete Your Account in the App

1. Open the Kori app on your device.
2. On the Home screen, tap the gear icon to open Settings.
3. Scroll down to Danger Zone and tap Close Account.
4. Read and tick the acknowledgements, then tap Continue.
5. Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and tap Close My Account.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your account information (email, display name)
• All journal entries and text content
• Mood logs and activity data
• Voice recordings and transcriptions
• Photos and media attachments
• Goals, gratitude entries, and routines
• Sleep journal data
• Vision board data
• Badges, streaks, and XP progress
• App preferences and settings

Data Retention

When you close your account in the app, your data is permanently deleted from our servers immediately and cannot be recovered. Requests made by email are completed within 30 days. Encrypted database backups expire automatically.

We keep a minimal record of your deletion request (email address, date, and the acknowledgements you confirmed) for 24 months to meet legal record-keeping requirements. It contains none of your journal content.

Can't Access the App?

If you are unable to access the Kori app, you can request account deletion by email:

• Send an email to support@heykori.app
• Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
• Include the email address associated with your Kori account

We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
